River Romance Captured by Ellie Asher Photo
Happy Monday! This is a fantastic way to begin our week! Heidi of Ira & Lucy Event Design envisioned a dream photo shoot with the most delicate color palette, stunning tablescape with the accents of watercolor, and wedding attire producing one of the prettiest shoots we’ve had the pleasure of featuring here at TWWP. There are so many sweet details that brides can use as inspiration for their own lovely weddings. I hope you love this photo shoot as much as I do.
From Heidi of Ira & Lucy Event Desgn: My desire was to blend the 2014 neutral hues of hemlock green and placid blue with pops of radiant orchid and splashes of watercolor accents. It was important to honor the wooded landscape and beautiful flowing rivers that surround the area all while creating an elegant and personalized feel.
THE TABLESCAPE: We can’t get enough of farm tables as the perfect foundation for a mountain wedding. We hand water colored the table runner and napkin linens, which was quite the endeavor. Vintage dishes, flatware, crystal glasses and brass candlesticks adorned the table. I was just ticked to use pewter cups and a centerpiece to showcase how antique elements can be a WOW factor! April, of Open Table Catering, presented a stunning array of cuisine focused on a farm-to-fork style along with a beautiful signature drink, the Huckleberry Martini.
THE CEREMONY: My husband and I built the mantel and Fallon, the florist, perfectly accented the space with draping greenery, drawing out the color palette with eucalyptus, blue hydrangea, and pops of radiant orchid in tulips, peonies, roses, and anemones!
THE CAKE: Stevi Raff, of Stevi Raff Cake Design, took from our color palette and created a beautiful classic cake with watercolor elements, accented with a full peony bloom.
THE BEAUTY: The first dress was designed by local designer, Daci. Layers of chiffon and intricate bodice wrapping with a lace edged veil – SWOON! Heartfelt Bridal, caused us to fall in love with Maggie Sottero, with the “Esme” tulle and beaded gown, as well as the “Sawyer” gown. Our bridesmaids were draped in hemlock green gowns from H&M with blue leather belts – perfection! Behrens Artistry nailed both hair and makeup for all of our looks! But, nothing wowed us as much as their bold risk with the orchid lip color on our bride!
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Vintage furniture from Ira & Lucy for bridal portraits and staging the different vignettes. A wild fox joined in on the shoot, too. Watercolor paper details were from Paperie + Pen.
