Baxter Preserve Engagement by Jessica Miccio Photography

A few chance encounters lead to a two-year engagement that will inevitably culminate in a wedding in the very near future. We wish Chrissy & James a lifetime of love and happiness. Congratulations! The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6582From the bride-to-be: James and I met on St. Patrick’s Day at a local pub. We had a ton of fun, but when the night was over; I left and did not think anything of it. After a few more chance encounters, we exchanged numbers and have practically been inseparable since then. We knew relatively soon into our relationship that we were destined to be with each other. Besides the connection he and I had and the amount of fun and laughter we shared every time we were together, we learned that our families had a lot of history, including our fathers growing up one block from each other when they were young boys!

Early on in the relationship I mentioned that I wanted to have a two-year engagement, little did I know that would be exactly what would happen. We had been dating for just about a year and half, had been to a dozen weddings together and us getting engaged was the last thing that I thought would happen. Football is something James and I enjoy watching together, he is a New York Giants fan, and I am a New York Jets fan that makes it that much more exciting. One Sunday he invited me to his parents’ house to watch the Giant’s game. He was working but said he would meet me there; it was September 22, 2013. I watched the entire game without James and then received a text message to meet him outside. I was so confused, but I put my shoes on and met him outside. He met me next to an oak tree in his parents’ yard where he began nervously telling me about the tree. James had planted an acorn when his family moved to the house, which after James’ love and care, grew into a beautiful oak tree. He also mentioned sharing this tree and its memories with our children one day. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Our relationship is similar to the oak tree, James’ love and care will help our relationship grow into a beautiful, healthy relationship and I can’t wait for what the future has in store for us.

As we are fast approaching that two-year mark and our wedding day, September 19, 2015, we can’t be more excited! We are having the reception in his parents’ backyard on the beautiful Quaker Hill located in Pawling, New York and while planning a backyard wedding has been quite the adventure, especially having two years to change my mind hundreds of times, we know it will be one of the best days of our lives and we are so anxious to see our big day come together. The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6580 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6583 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6585The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6587 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6576 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6586The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6588The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6574The Westchester Wedding Planner,_6590Photography:  Jessica Miccio Photography | Location: Baxter Preserve
