Long Island Beach Wedding – Andres Photography

This beautiful Long Island beach was the perfect location for this sweet wedding. Anjelica and Johnathan’s love for surfing brought them together, so it’s only fitting that he proposes on a surfboard, and they marry on the beach. Don’t miss the video of the proposal. I guarantee you’ll smile the entire time.
The Westchester Wedding Planner, Beach WeddingA chat with the groom:
How did the two of you meet? Well we met on a Monday night right after church through our friends. We had all decided to grab some ice cream before heading back home. We sat by a bench with all our friends and we began to sing “In the jungle the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight.”  Then we took pictures and were getting ready to go home when I noticed a man on a longboard was riding down the street.  I was captivated by how cool it looked, and I said “that is just like surfing.” Anjelica heard me say that and she said something like “I love surfing” and boom, our love for the ocean brought our friendship together. I also remember noticing her in church that night, she sat far away but I remember telling myself, “what beautiful eyes this girl has.”

What is your engagement story? Planning the proposal was extremely hard.  I remember thinking how? and when? over and over for many days to come. I remember telling God “if this is your will, please open the doors for me, help me to do this, let it be special.” And one thing led to another, and I just followed. First I asked her parents for their approval, I felt it strong that this was the first thing God wanted me to do. They gave me their approval, and my confidence went off the charts. Then I didn’t know when to propose. I felt like maybe at the church with our friends present. The Pastor said they were going to do baptism at the beach, and they do this every year, and I realized wow, what perfect timing. All our friends are going to be there and at the beach! I’ll get to bring my surfboards and paddle out with her and propose to her. I woke up that morning and I remember it was cloudy, and I said “Oh please God let it be a good weather.” By the time we got to the beach, the sun came out, and boy was I super happy. I caught it all on the go pro, you can watch here:

What were some of the highlights of your wedding day? One of our favorite highlights of our wedding would be our first look. We didn’t want to see each other at first until Anjelica was actually walking down the aisle, but boy were we super happy that Anjelica at the last minute decided we should see each other first. It became very intimate just the two of us seeing each other. It felt like being inside a movie, I saw Anjelica and she looked stunning. Her dress was beautiful as she walked down the aisle and the wind would blow her dress with such grace. We couldn’t stop smiling. My mind went blank and all I could think about was how beautiful Anjelica looked. The Westchester Wedding Planner_6785 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6787 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6788 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6791The Westchester Wedding Planner_6792 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6793 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6795The Westchester Wedding Planner_6796 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6798 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6801The Westchester Wedding Planner_6783The Westchester Wedding Planner_6804 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6805 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6806 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6811The Westchester Wedding Planner_6809 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6814 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6818 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6819 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6820 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6823The Westchester Wedding Planner_6824 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6826 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6828 The Westchester Wedding Planner_6829Photography: Andres Valenzuela Photography | Ceremony + Reception: The Crescent Beach Club | Hair:  Sheri Pinto | Makeup Artist: Shaina Eve Cintron | Wedding Dress Designer: Pnina Tornai | Boutique: Kleinfeld | Bride’s Shoes: zappos | Groom Tuxedo: Enzo Custom Clothiers | Jewelry: Kleinfeld | Florist: Stefan’s Flowers | Stationary Designer: Minted
