Staying organized is something we are not very good at around here, as hard as we try. So, our hats are off to Meagan for her pulling off the wedding of her dreams by staying organized and on budget.

We knew from the start that we wanted a big wedding with a low key feel. We’re both laid back and just wanted to throw a fun party to celebrate with our friends and family. Being a person who likes to be organized and under control, I took the reins early on, and Chris was happy to give them to me! His only request was to have a live band; the rest was up me, and he said he trusted my choices. Of course, I consulted with him along the way. I did almost all of the decorations myself. The mason jars on the tables for drinking and flower arrangements, bunting, the table settings written on the old doors, the card box, table runners, and much more! Taking care of all of these little details made the day just that much better. Everything turned out exactly how we envisioned.  It was so satisfying to walk in and see all of our hard work pay off and have all of those personal details and touches. My advice to other couples would be to stay organized, start with a clear plan and budget from the start, and do as much as you can on your own to personalize your wedding! It was so fun to have a wedding that just felt like us, if that makes sense. We walked in and knew that it was our perfect wedding, and no one else could’ve replicated that!
