Wedding by the Bay by Bradley Images

Overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, Harrington on the Bay has the most magnificent waterfront vistas: a perfect setting for a wedding. Bradley Images captured those vistas and this handsome couple brilliantly. Not to mention the captivating bride in an extraordinary Maggie Sottero creation. The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4329How did you meet?: We met one evening in the spring of 2007. I was out with my roommate one evening, and Ahmed happened to be at a friend’s birthday party at Lima Lounge in Washington, DC. He approached me and introduce one of his friends who found me to be “the most attractive in the place.” Flattered but uninterested in the admirer, I tried to maneuver out of the conversation. However, Ahmed found himself interested in me and would not give up. Finally, after a lengthy chat, I agreed to give him my roommate’s contact info instead of mine. A short time later Ahmed finally called my roommate and was able to get Becky’s number. After several months of courtship (according to Ahmed) via phone and text, I finally agreed to have dinner with him on a lazy Sunday evening. Ironically, still to this day, we still disagree about when our first official date was. I believed it was two “friends” having dinner while he was convinced it was a “date”. Well, whatever that Sunday afternoon/evening/dinner/date was supposed to be, it turned into something much more. Five hours later they finally said good night and began their own love story.

The Proposal: During the annual 4th of July trip to my family’s cottage, Ahmed used an ingenious cover story and flew in a few days before me. Ahmed said he wanted to take my father out golfing for his birthday. Ahmed coordinated the outing with my two brothers and dad. During the outing, he shared the news and asked my father for my hand in marriage. The following day, they join me and the rest of my family at the cottage. During our stay, Ahmed waited and waited, searching for the perfect moment to propose. On July 3rd, Ahmed and I spent the entire day down on the water, tubing and enjoying the downtime away from the city. While lying in a hammock overlooking the lake, Ahmed popped the question. With only my father and brother in the know, it was a complete surprise to me and the rest of my family who was enjoying a bonfire close by. Both families were overjoyed at the news, but no one was more excited about the proposal than Ahmed and me.The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4310 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4308 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4313 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4311The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4321 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4320 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4322 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4323 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4317The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4325 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4326 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4330 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4331 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4334 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4335 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4337The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4333 The Westchester Wedding Planner,_4339Photographer:  Bradley Images, inc. | Cake Designer: Cakes by Rachael | Floral Designer: Creative Floral Designs | DJ: DJ Alkimist | Tuxedo and Mens Attire: Jos A.
