CV Rich Mansion Wedding

We’re taking a little break from all the holiday, snow and winter posts to bring you this pretty Westchester wedding at CV Rich Mansion in White Plains, New York. It’s simple, intimate, traditional and oh so sweet. The Westchester Wedding Planner, CV RICH MANSIONFrom the Bride: What was your planning process like and do you have any tips for future brides? There are so many options for what kind of wedding, what kind of venue, etc… be realistic about what you can pull off.  Think about how much time you have to plan, your budget, and your vision.  In the beginning we had so many idea’s, but most of them would have been too much for us to handle with over 200 guests so we narrowed it down and found the perfect balance. In the beginning I was way ahead of schedule in the planning process and I thought I was pretty awesome at this, but in the last month,  it was crunch time and it felt totally out of control.  try your best delegate tasks to friends and family who offer to help. Some things will inevitably come out different than your vision, don’t stress it. On your wedding day plan extra time, there WILL be something that will cause you to be behind schedule. Commission professional experienced vendors and everything seems to fall into place on the big day! (photographer, videographer, Dj, florist, etc.. Enjoy your own wedding.  Once the reception starts, try your best to stop playing host.  We made an early speech thanking everyone for coming and told them to find us on the dance floor
What was a highlight of your wedding day? There were several highlights. Having all different people from all different facets of your life in the same place at the same time and knowing that this is likely the only day of your life that this will happen. Spending the morning with my mother and friends was very special. Of course, dancing the night away was great fun. The most memorable moment was when my new husband and I finally stopped for a moment, exhaled… and realized, we did it!
Why did you choose the venue you did? We chose CV Rich Mansion because they were able to accommodate our 200 guests while keeping a small intimate feel of an old victorian home. They also have a large ballroom to accommodate dancing. Their beautiful outdoor garden is perfect for ceremonies. The food is so good our guests still talk about it. And, wedding coordinator, Joanna Malone, was really easy to work with. The Westchester Wedding Planner_3720 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3721 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3723 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3725The Westchester Wedding Planner_3743 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3744The Westchester Wedding Planner_3737 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3738 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3739 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3742The Westchester Wedding Planner_3747 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3731 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3732 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3756 The Westchester Wedding Planner_3755The Westchester Wedding Planner_3761The Westchester Wedding Planner_3763The Westchester Wedding Planner_3765The Westchester Wedding Planner_3767
